Child Safety Standards

Our commitment

Bit State has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on Sewciable. Any content or behaviour that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers a child is strictly prohibited and is removed when we become aware of it. Accounts responsible for such content or behaviour are terminated, and we report to the appropriate authorities as required by law.

These standards apply to every part of Sewciable — posts, comments, profiles, images, and any other content shared on the app — and to everyone who uses it.

The following are never permitted on Sewciable:

• Child sexual abuse material in any form, including drawn, animated, or AI-generated depictions.
• Grooming, or any attempt to build a relationship with a child in order to sexually exploit or abuse them.
• Sextortion — threatening to share intimate images to coerce a child.
• Sexualisation of a minor, including sexually suggestive content or commentary involving children.
• Trafficking or solicitation of a child for sexual purposes.
• Using Sewciable to facilitate, promote, normalise, or link to CSAE or CSAM anywhere, on or off the app.

3. How we prevent harm

Minimum age. Sewciable is not directed to children. Users must be at least 16 years old to create an account, consistent with our Terms of Service and our Google Play content rating.

A closed, paid community. Sewciable is a subscription service with no advertising and no algorithmic feed. The chronological, members-only model reduces the anonymous, automated, and amplification-driven behaviour that abuse often relies on.

Moderation and review. We review reported content and act on violations of these standards. Content that violates this policy is removed, and we take action on the accounts responsible, up to and including permanent termination.

4. How to report a concern

If you see content or behaviour on Sewciable that may involve child sexual abuse or exploitation, please report it to us so we can act quickly.

In the app. You can report any post, comment, or profile directly within Sewciable using the three-dot (···) menu, where you can report inappropriate material. Reports never require you to leave the app.

By email. You can also contact us at [email protected]. Reports relating to child safety are prioritised.

Reporting to the authorities. You can also report child sexual abuse and exploitation directly to the authorities. In Australia, report online child sexual exploitation and grooming to the Australian Federal Police-led Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation (ACCCE) at accce.gov.au/report, and report illegal content to the eSafety Commissioner at esafety.gov.au. If a child is in immediate danger, call Triple Zero (000) or your local police.

5. How we respond

When we become aware of CSAE or CSAM on Sewciable, we act in accordance with these standards and applicable law. This includes:

• Removing the offending content.
• Suspending or permanently terminating the accounts involved.
• Preserving relevant information where required to support an investigation.
• Reporting to the relevant authorities as required by law. As an Australia-based operator, this includes the Australian Federal Police-led Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation (ACCCE) and the eSafety Commissioner, as well as state or territory police; where applicable, we also report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline.

6. Compliance with the law

Bit State complies with applicable child safety laws in the jurisdictions where Sewciable operates, including obligations to report child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities. We keep these standards under review and update them as our practices and the law evolve.
